Frequently asked questions

Do we have to do anything as a SIREN site?
VIBRANT will be recruiting centrally from all participants taking part in SIREN and therefore we are not asking for any action to be undertaken by SIREN sites. If one of your participants consents, we will provide you with a notice of this and a copy of their consent form.

Do we need local HRA/R&D approvals?
No. As per the protocol all participants being approached by SIREN have consented to be approached about other studies (as seen in the SIREN consent). Once a participant has consented to VIBRANT all communications and interventions will be carried out by the central VIBRANT team and not local sites.

Do we need to bleed participants?
No. All bleeding will be carried out by VIBRANT sites only.

Will our site receive accruals when our participants consent to VIBRANT?
Sites will not receive any accruals or other compensation for participants being recruited from their site.

Where can I see the key documents
You will have received an email from the central SIREN team regarding a link to the study, within this there is a link to the SharePoint area containing all the relevant documents.

When are you planning on starting this study?
Recruitment from SIREN sites is being rolled out from the 21st of February 2022 in a staged manner.
